*Through Project Sweet Dreams in Iowa, many other dollars have been donated to individuals for items such as dental care, eye glasses, rent, clothing, shoes, yearbooks, school activity tickets, Christmas Gifts, gas cards, phone cards, school supplies, toiletry supplies, winter gear, books, transportation needs, tuition, and more.
Just a few of the many thank you cards sent from grant recipients:
"Thanks for the money which helped me to stay in Atlantic and graduate. I used the money towards rent."
"As a teacher who works with Atlantic's children, I am so grateful our community has a Sweet Dreams fund. Please know that a freshman girl in fostercare is able to run on the track team this sprind thanks to your financial support."
"Thank you so much. Your foundation and the work it does helped provide a safe place for my daughter and her newborn son. She was in an abusive relationship and your help allowed her to get out and have a safe place for her and her son to live in. Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
"This is the thank you from the family that received money for clothes. Thanks again for the service your group does for children/families in our area."
"Thank you for the lovely gift of the twin beds for our daughters. The girls really love them."
